- Support New Zealand’s primary industry trade with the Middle East and North Africa
- Three to four year secondment to MFAT
Over 70 percent of New Zealand’s export goods come from the primary sectors. The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) is growing its presence in the Middle East and North Africa to strengthen and grow New Zealand relationships as a trusted trading partner of primary products and food. Our role is to investigate, open up and maintain access to markets, while developing the regulatory systems and relationships that support trade with overseas countries.
