We have a fantastic opportunity for you to join our expanding Information Management Team. The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) has recently implemented a new enterprise content management system (ECMS). Both the Ministry and Information Management Team are at a key point in our journey to ensure we have the information and tools we need to make effective decisions. If you have an interest in developing a career in information management, then we welcome you to join us on this ride!
Our ECMS is a tool that enables MPI to manage information effectively. Your role will be to support Ministry staff and provide the advice they need to manage the Ministry's information well. You'll engage with and support staff with requests and ensure they have the skills and knowledge they need to operate effectively. You'll investigate issues and incidents in systems, processes and services. There is the opportunity for you to contribute to a broad programme of work aimed at improving the Ministry's management of our information.
To succeed in this role you'll have excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be customer centric. You'll bring strong problem solving capability and analytic thinking skills as well as the ability to think creatively about solutions. You will act as an ambassador for our services and tools.
A relevant qualification in IM or similar and experience with Microsoft SharePoint is desirable. Training is available and you will be supported in your development.
