We are currently on the hunt for an experienced and energetic Systems Business Analyst to join our Applications Team, in Business Technology and Information Services. This is a permanent opportunity located in either Wellington or Auckland.
Our team works together to ensure the integrity, efficiency and accessibility of the Ministry's systems by providing user support, maintaining system documentation, contributing to fault diagnosis and resolution, progressing system enhancements and engaging with business users and vendors in the continuous system improvement cycle.
The Systems Business Analyst will play a key part in providing oversight for allocated systems to ensure that changes are in line with strategic direction, have been properly scoped and developed, and that reporting is provided to assist with proactive system management.
In this role you will be drawing on the following skills and experience:
- Writing user stories and acceptance criteria for new requirements to be delivered
- Clarifying and reworking requirements for delivery, and assisting with testing and deployment
- Actively seeking to understand problems, opportunities and business impacts
- Understands SDLC, Agile and other information technology methodologies and frameworks
- Experience developing and implementing processes, systems and solutions within a large and complex environment
- Contributing to road-mapping, planning and coordination across multiple technologies and user groups
- Strong customer focus
You will be a self-starter and known for your ability to multi-task and prioritise. You will have strong written and verbal communication skills, and a high level of attention to detail. In addition, you will thrive on the challenge of problem-solving and reducing complex situations to gain superior results.
This will be a challenging role, dealing with multiple user groups and internal development teams so being a people-person is a must!
