We have an opportunity for a Senior Auditor to join our Internal Audit team for a six month fixed term. Reporting to the Manager, Audit, this is a fantastic opportunity to work across different systems and programmes in a diverse organisation! Here at MPI our Internal Audit team is responsible for providing independent assurance to the Director-General that the Ministry's systems of governance, risk and controls, policies, processes and programmes are operating effectively and meeting expectations.
Ideally we are looking for someone with experience in an audit, assurance or business process improvement environment. Key to your success in this role will be your strong analytical, problem solving and decision making skills which you will use to plan and deliver a range of outputs including audits, reviews and other business consultancy work.
You will also have excellent communication and relationship management skills. The ability to communicate clearly and persuasively is important because the role will see you partner with the business and at times, external stakeholders and industry groups. Your ability to understand both the wider strategic and operational business related environments in which organisations work will also be important.
