Here is your chance to take up a key role in the Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance team working in a very dynamic environment with often rapidly changing requirements.
The Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance team is responsible for facilitating, maintaining, and enhancing trade, through the provision of trusted export assurances. We work to minimise costs for businesses, and ease the conformance burden by aligning and improving our export certification and verification regime. Maintaining linkages across MPI and with industry, sharing expertise, communicating and collaborating to ensure success and growth for these sectors continues to be top of our minds.
We are looking for an Adviser to join our Plant, Wine and Organic Assurance team, preferably an experienced adviser or Senior Adviser who has experience in project management or a strong passion to upskill in this area. You will contribute to the development, maintenance, and implementation of operational requirements and/or guidelines for export assurance programmes for plants and plant products, and contribute to the negotiation of market access requirements.
To be successful in this role you need to be a great multi tasker, ideally have industry experience, and have a relevant tertiary qualification e.g. in horticultural or biological sciences or equivalent practical experience. Also experience or an ability to produce written technical documents in simple understandable terms, ability to work under pressure and in conflict situations. You also need to have strong relationship management skills and have great written and verbal communication skills.
You will bring your confidence and project management strengths with you which will allow you to ensure that work gets completed on time, to the right quality and on budget. You will become the go to person for project work. You will be highly productive, highly driven and have excellent communication skills.
