Te Uru Rākau is a new branch and branded business unit within the Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) and is leading the Government's renewed focus on forestry. Comprising teams with diverse responsibilities spanning operational delivery through to strategic policy development we provide the focus and direction needed to strengthen and grow the forestry sector in New Zealand.
About the Role
We are looking for a programme coordinator or experienced project coordinator with a can do attitude to support the delivery of a number of strategic, policy and operational programmes, including the One Billion Trees Programme.
This role will also provide administrative support. Using their excellent relationship building skills to deal effectively with a range of administrative and operational matters.
- Keeping the basics solid – so plenty of scheduling, planning, reporting, managing risks and issues and support with month end financials
- Leading on components of programme workstreams as agreed with managers.
- Developing collateral for internal audiences and possibly other key stakeholders.
- Foster relationships between internal stakeholders, subject matter experts/project leads and where required external stakeholders.
You're a motivated self-starter with a good breadth of experience working in either a multiple project or programme environment. You will be a confident presenter and comfortable working with groups, as well as being able to facilitate and maintain strong productive relationships. You've had experience working in change environments and have the ability to adapt.
You will also be able to evidence your ability to work with people to find solutions to complex issues and to deliver the best outcome.
