The Ministry for Primary Industries is seeking an OIA Adviser for an established team with responsibility for MPI's Official Information Act, Privacy Act and Ombudsman responses. This is a fixed term opportunity for 6 months.
In this role you will be scoping and preparing responses to requests for information within the requirements of the relevant legislation and organisational policy. This includes drafting response letters, compiling information for release and coordinating contributions from across the organisation to ensure that responses are on-time, consistent and of high quality.
You will be an energetic self-starter with a reputation for working effectively across an organisation to get things done. Your good understanding of the machinery of Government, good written communication skills and sound judgement will ensure you can confidently provide advice to key decision-makers within the Ministry.

The OIA team resides within the Ministerials and Business Support team, as part of the Office of the Director-General (ODG) branch within MPI. The ODG provides direction-setting and supporting services across the Ministry, and direct support to MPI's Director-General. The OIA team works across MPI to provide advice about relevant legislation and deliver statutory correspondence for MPI.
