Verification Services (VS) is responsible for ensuring the safety and suitability of New Zealand exports for overseas and domestic markets by providing official assurances / certification required for exporting New Zealand's food and animal products to overseas markets. The Business Operations Team supports the delivery of all business and operational functions of the Directorate.
The Graduate Business Analyst will contribute to the success of the team by ensuring the operational functions within MPI VS are delivered to the standards required by the Manager, Business Operations through the provision of information which assists the implementation and support of business systems.
The primary purpose of this role is to investigate, review and analyse business systems, services and process. Information from analysis needs to identify problems and solutions that enable business improvement.
You will need strong analytical and problem solving skills and an ability to present information (written and verbal) in a clear and concise manner. You will also need to be able to engage positively with key personnel within VS and the wider organisation and also external stakeholders including industry.
