- Two vacancies based in Petone.
We are seeking two General Investigators - Covert Specialisation for our Compliance Support Unit. You will be responsible for the coordination and conduct of a range of operations targeting organised and systemic breaches of compliance across New Zealand's various primary industries using covert techniques and capabilities.
This is a challenging position requiring a high level of dedication, self-discipline and self-motivation. Ideally you will be able to demonstrate a high level of technical expertise and knowledge in the field of covert operations which involve personal interaction with known and or suspected offenders. However, applicants who display ability for this role will be considered alongside those with general investigative backgrounds. Ethnic and gender diversity are also important considerations for operational effectiveness.
The desire and ability to operate in a covert role is critical and full training will be given to successful applicants who possess the requisite qualities. Frequent travel and periods away from home should be anticipated.
Short-listed candidates will be required to attend an assessment centre as part of the selection process. If successful, you will also be required to attend and successfully complete a comprehensive in-house training course.
