The Fisheries Data Management team are looking for a Data Analyst to join them in their commitment to ensuring that Fisheries New Zealand collects the right information that is of a high quality.
We have a permanent, full time opportunity to become part of a team of dedicated professionals who are responsible for the management of Fisheries New Zealand's scientific and research information.
About the Role - Kōrero mō te tūranga
This involves assisting with the management of Fisheries New Zealand's scientific and research fisheries data sets; including commercial catch effort, observer, research, & reference data. These roles will utilise your excellent “eye for detail”, communication and analytical skills.
A relevant tertiary qualification, appropriate experience and sound computing skills are all essential. An understanding of methodologies for managing data quality and knowledge of the fishing industry are also highly desirable, but not essential.
