Salary range: $92,073 to $108,321 depending on skills and experience

We are looking for a Business Analyst to join our team with a focus to support digital analysis of intervention tools for frontline staff. In this role you will work with the Digital Border and Technology teams to ensure reporting requirements are met, including leading the development of processes and systems to enable this. You will assist the directorate and Biosecurity New Zealand branch by providing input to strategic assessments, analysis of directorate operations and the identification and management of risks and opportunities. In doing this, you will develop collaborative working partnerships at all levels internally and externally with other border agencies.
Mōu - About You
You will ideally have had previous experience of New Zealand government business environment. You will be able to demonstrate your expertise in building relationships across government agencies and private stakeholders. You will show how you can bring data to life to tell the story of the project to senior executives.
Our ideal candidate will be customer centric, comfortable applying business analyst methodologies, tools, and techniques, have excellent data analysis and reporting skills and is results focused. In addition, they would have excellent knowledge and experience with Microsoft Excel, Power BI and Data Visualisation.
You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where you will support your team to make quick decisions under tight deadlines. At the same time your will utilise your significant experience in developing and maintaining relationships with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders demonstrating excellent judgement and analytical skills.

The role reports to a Team Manager Passenger within Border Clearance Services in Biosecurity New Zealand. Our current focus is on developing new and improving old business tools that support a digital border for New Zealand. Working closely alongside our frontline teams to design related services, products, and systems.
