Salary range: $88,440 to $110,550 + extras depending on skills and experience.
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
The purpose of this role within Verification Services (VS) is to provide a range of food safety verification and certification services to support market access strategies and setting standards.
Reporting to the Team Manager Establishment Morrinsville, the role sits within the Establishment group of the Verification Services directorate.
The role is varied, and you will be doing the following
- Carry out verification of Risk Management Programs at meat processing establishments
- Communicate well with internal and external stakeholders
- Complete ante mortem inspections and provide oversight of post-mortem inspection
- Maintain contact within the farming communities by being involved in on farm verification
- Provide certification for animal product exports

The Team Manager Establishment for Waikato is looking for a NZ registered Veterinarian to join the team in a permanent Veterinary Technical Supervisor 2 role based at Greenlea Morrinsville.
This is an attractive role positioned in the centre of Waikato which is known for its dairy farming.
Greenlea Morrisonville is a bovine and bobby calf processor, working a day and night shift, throughout the year. You will be working with 3 other veterinarians, the supervising veterinarian (VTS1) who covers day shifts and two meat veterinarians (VTS2), one covers one day shift and the other one night shift. The Waikato team is culturally diverse group of 20 friendly/supportive vets based on meat premises from Benneydale to Auckland.
