Salary Band: $57,559 to $76,464 depending on skills and experience
The Ministry for Primary Industries are currently recruiting for a Fleet Coordinator, to join our Property & Assets directorate, as part of our wider Corporate Services business unit based in Wellington.
Kōrero mō te Tūranga - About the Role
As Fleet Coordinator, you will be responsible for various coordination and administrative processes needed to ensure the safe effective, and efficient maintenance and utilisation of our vehicle fleet.
In this role you will support the Fleet Manager and wider Property & Assets team, update databases, respond to queries from staff, raise purchase orders, and monitoring & rectifying overdue vehicle maintenance/WoFs.
The key accountabilities of this position include:
- Assisting with the planning of the vehicle replacement programme
- Raising purchase orders for vehicles and accessories, receipting purchase orders and processing invoice payments
- Updating and maintaining data in fleet management and GPS systems and running reports
- Assisting with vehicle infringement management
- Liaising with the business on overdue vehicle WoFs and servicing to ensure vehicles are maintained
- Ensuring all queries and requests for general information are responded to in a timely manner
- Maintaining coordination and administrative systems and processes and look to improve and streamline to ensure the consistent efficient operation of the team.
Mōu - About You
To be successful in this role, you will have previous work experience in a coordination and administration role, as well as strong customer service/relationship management experience.
You will have great communication skills, the ability to analyse and assess issues and information, and strong attention to detail.
Importantly, you will be highly collaborative, have excellent time management & the ability to juggle multiple priorities, be proactive, and have the confidence to work with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels.

The wider Property & Assets team sit within our Corporate Services business unit and manage our properties across the country. The Fleet Coordinator works with the Fleet Manager to ensure the efficient running, maintenance, and compliance of our vehicle fleet.
