Job Title: Operations Support Officer, NZ Forest Service
Role type: 6-month Fixed Term or Secondment, full-time hours
Location: Wellington CBD
General Salary Range G: $67,658 to $89,957 depending on skills and experience

- Are you a detail-oriented administrator with a knack for systems and processes?
- Do you want to contribute to New Zealand's climate goals through meaningful work in the Emissions Trading Scheme (ETS) for forestry?
We're looking for enthusiastic Operations Support Officers to join our Forestry ETS Operations team.
On a daily basis you will:
- Monitor internal inboxes, maintain records, and assist with document preparation
- Support the administration of ETS applications and technical processes
- Help manage operational caseloads while learning the ins and outs of the ETS
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to support team delivery
- Identify opportunities for system and process improvements
- Assist with ETS submissions and batching tasks using internal systems
- Produce high-quality reports and conduct data analysis and quality checks
No experience in the ETS for forestry is necessary as full training will be provided.
About You – Mōu
As an Operations Support Officer, you'll play a vital role in the smooth running of our team by providing essential administrative and technical support. You'll work closely with Operations Analysts, Senior Analysts, and Team Leaders to help deliver high-quality outcomes for the ETS and ensure the day-to-day operations of the group run efficiently.
