International & Business Coordinator
Role Type: Permanent, full-time
Location: Wellington
Salary range & band: General Salary Range G: $67,658 to $78,771 depending on skills and experience
About the role - Kōrero mō te Tūranga
This role sits within our International Travel Unit - a small team who provide travel facilitation services and support for MPI staff who are required to travel internationally. The team takes great pride in providing exceptional customer service – and have lots of fun along the way.
In this role you will;
- work closely with both our travellers and MPI's external travel provider to obtain quotes, and book flights and accommodation
- facilitate matters relating to passports, security, foreign exchange, devices, cultural protocol advice, safety and wellbeing advice, country and region risks, insurance, expenses and allowances
- facilitate approval processes to ensure that all international travel is carried out in accordance with MPI's policies.
About you - Mōu
To be successful in this role you will have:
- a good knowledge of international travel requirements – previous experience working in the travel industry would be an advantage (but not essential)
- proven experience in the provision of logistical and administrative support
- a very high level of attention to detail
- a strong customer focus
- excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills
- an unflappable manner with the ability to stay calm and professional under pressure
About the Team – Mō tō mātou Rōpū
This is a Wellington based role reporting to the Manager Business Support, working alongside a collaborative team of International Coordinators, Executive Coordinators and other administrative support staff. We are a closeknit team who work together to provide top-notch customer service – whilst having lots of fun along the way.
While you will be based in the Policy and Trade Business Unit, this role also provides you with the unique opportunity to work across MPI's other Business Units including Biosecurity New Zealand, New Zealand Fisheries, New Zealand Food Safety and Te Uru Rakau.
